IT Support Officer - Worcester - Full Time - 3 Month Contract - £12.60 per Hour umbrella (inside IR35). We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Support Officer to join and supervise an existing team of IT Support professionals. Your duties and responsibilities will include: To provide comprehensive advanced professional IT support to customers. To ensure that calls for support are dealt with promptly and queries resolved. To resolve complex IT problems and progress with other IT departments as necessary. To provide excellent service to all customers. To be suitable for this opportunity; you must have the following experience: Significant experience working in a PC/network support role. Advanced detailed technical knowledge of common PC applications and email, preferably MSOffice. Demonstrable experience troubleshooting networked PCs, ability to identify cause and solutions Advanced understanding of XP,AD and Outlook/Exchange. Demonstrable experience of recording data and maintaining records. Demonstrable experience of providing telephone support. Experience of working co-operatively with a broad range of internal and external contacts and groups. Detailed knowledge of Wide Area networks and equipment. Specialist knowledge of hardware - PCs, cards , modems, printers and other peripherals Experience of Project management - concepts, principles, best practice. To be suitable for this opportunity; you must have the following skills: High level of advanced IT skills to trouble shoot the wide variety of software and hardware systems in use in the Council. Proven ability to work in a logical and methodical manner, to be able to prioritise own workload and work to strict deadlines in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA) Pragmatic and analytical approach to complex problem solving. Effective interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication skills. Coaching skills - able to deliver bespoke training, able to interpret and convey complex technical information to non-IT usersThe rate for this position is £12.60 per hour umbrella (inside IR35).
