For this position you will have to pass an onsite driving assessment prior to being sent out. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a large multinational haulage company, offering a very consistent position with start times between (Apply online only) working through 10-12 hours a day from Sunday to Thursday, which can include 1-2 collections from regional distribution centres in England. It would be an advantage to already have two years commercial driving experience but not essential as newly passed drivers will be considered. Managing all orders and quotations through the e-procurement system, in line with standing orders and force policy.  Main Responsibilities: Raising all category defined purchase orders and ensuring compliance with the alliance Financial and Contracts Regulations through the e-procurement system. Ensuring all purchase orders are raised efficiently to enable approval in a timely manner. Identifying and agreeing customers’ needs and identifying and selecting suppliers which match the service requirement.  Identifying the most suitable procurement procedure and service, that adheres to the alliances and wider Government policies and demonstrates best value. The expediting of orders and query resolution. Monitoring recurring maverick spend to identify aggregation opportunities for new contracts to reduce the overall amount of orders raised. Processing good receipt notifications and managing any mismatch between purchase orders and invoices.  To manage and obtain quotations for goods and services in line with force policy. Liaising with contracts colleagues to identify the most appropriate procurement route. Monitoring and reporting on supplier performance, escalating where necessary to the Purchasing Officer.
